CLGA Exhibit Celebrates Black History Month

Honouring Black lesbians and gay men who have made a difference in North America

February, 2000

The Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives celebrates Black History Month this February with displays at Xtra on Church Street and the Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto at 115 Simpson Ave.

The two dynamic panels are collages of book jackets and magazine covers of Black lesbians and gay men who have made a difference in North America.

You can experience this powerful exhibit at either of these sites for the entire month of February and if you would like to delve into the books or magazines from which these images come, visit us at the Archives!
