The original text from Flaunting It! 1964-1982, page 231 states:
"Peter Maloney, former manager
of Club Baths Ottawa, pleads guilty to keeping a common bawdyhouse and is
fined $500; three others plead guilty to being inmates and are fined $100
each."
The book's foreward (page 6) states that "James Fraser, Dana Rice and
Michael Pearl did the preliminary indexing of news pages in The Body Politic's
back issues which made it possible to assemble the chronology in chapter five."
The Body Politic, Issue 29, Dec 1976 / Jan 1977, page 5: "Club Baths
staff fined," by David Garmaise, then TBP's Ottawa correspondent. Its
lead paragraph: "The former manager
of the Club Baths in Ottawa had pleaded guilty to a charge of keeping a common
bawdy house and has been fined $500. Three other men pleaded guilty to being
'inmates' (workers) in a bawdy house and were find $100 each."
The editors / researchers of Flaunting It! were incorrect in
identifying the Club Baths manager who pleaded guilty.
