"Sex before eight or it's too late" is the motto of NAMBLA, the North American Man Boy Love Association. Both Heather Bird and Judy Steed published the above misinformation on the same day, Bird in her column in the Sun and Steed in a letter to the Globe and Mail. As Hannon points out in his letter to the Globe on November 21, it is not the motto of NAMBLA, but rather of the Rene Guyon Society.
Interestingly, this "fact" can also be found on the Internet in an essay by Jeff Vos, of the CNG .

The CNG is an [sic] cell-based White Nationalist organization. It's [sic] battleground is the Internet. The CNG develops propaganda, distributes propaganda, and recruits for real-world organizations. The essay is called The Homosexual Threat (beware: it's 165K long!!!), and contains a few references to Hannon's writing and activism. In a section titled FACT #3/ Homosexuals disproportionately molest children , Vos states:
Freud based his knowledge of sexual stages on observing the resulting sexual behaviour of people who had been "seduced" at particular times in their life. People were molested at an early age by a member of the same sex developed homosexually. This is where the term "seduction" comes from, and this is why the gay organization NAMBLA insists on "sex before [age] eight, or else it's too late." They mean: too late to definitely affect the child's sexual development.
